I love makeup.  All of it — the drugstore makeup and the high-end brands, too.  But when you can find quality makeup at the drugstore, it’s especially rewarding!  I mean, who doesn’t love a bargain?

Here are links to some of my favorite drugstore makeup I used in the video.  The names of the products are linked to Amazon, but you might find cheaper prices at other stores.

FOUNDATION

Drugstore Makeup

Maybelline Dream Urban Cover Flawless Foundation Makeup SPF 50

Not too matte, not too dewy.  This gives a beautiful, even finish.  I was very surprised because it’s got SPF 50!  That’s high protection in a foundation, without being too thick and cakey.  I don’t know how Maybelline did it, put they really made a great foundation in this product.

BLUSH

Drugstore Makeup

Maybelline Cheek Heat Gel-Cream Blush

So, you may have noticed that this is not the blush I used in the video.  That’s because I can’t find where to buy the one I used in the video as a dupe for Nars Liquid Blush in Orgasm.  But, luckily I have also used this gel blush from Maybelline, and it’s fantastic.  And it’s new, so you can find it everywhere!

Liquid and gel blush produces such a believable, lit-from-within glow.  After 40, it might be time to put down powder blush.  Powders can accentuate wrinkles, liquids and gels don’t.

BRONZER

Drugstore MakeupNYX Professional Makeup Bright Idea Stick

Love it!  Easy to use, lasting color, never too orangey or too flat brown.  There’s a hint of shimmer that really brings skin to life with sunkissed color.  I don’t really do contouring, I add this to parts of my face that usually tan the most.  It’s just a better look for me than contouring.  And I’m just not into all those steps.

HIGHLIGHTER

Drugstore Makeup

Revlon PhotoReady Insta-Fix Highlighting Stick, Gold Light

An oldie but a goodie for me!  It’s the perfect dupe for Benefit’s Watt’s Up Highlighter.  You really can’t go wrong with the Gold Light color.

CONCEALER

Drugstore Makeup

Maybelline New York Super Stay Super Stay Full Coverage Under-eye Concealer

I’m a devoted fan of Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, but it is expensive.  So, for my everyday makeup I grab my Maybelline SuperStay Concealer.  It pairs well with my Maybelline SuperStay Foundation, which I do actually like better than the Tarte foundations I’ve tried.

A little of this goes a long way to conceal dark circles.  I blend it out with a concealer brush, not my fingertips.  It’s great for covering dark spots and imperfections, too.

MASCARA

Drugstore Makeupwet n wild Mega Volume Mascara

What drugstore makeup list would be complete without an amazing mascara?  This one will blow you away.  High volume, NO clumps, excellent separation of lashes.  It rivals anything you’ll find at Sephora.

And for me, easy removal is important.  I don’t want to damage my lashes with scrubbing and rubbing.  This is easy to remove while washing your face, and it does not leave a ton of black residue around your eyes.

Some makeup works for me, and some does not.  And generally speaking, the price of the makeup doesn’t matter.  There are some pretty amazing products to be found on drugstore shelves, you just have to know where to look.  This post is a good start!
