“Side-Sleeping Beauty” : The Save My Face Pillow Review
Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved to sleep on her side. Each night she would cuddle her cheek into her pillow and drift happily off to sleep. Unbeknownst to her, her pillow was actually aging her little by little, every single night while she slept.
If you’re a side sleeper, you’re adding years to your face each night.
HERE’S HOW:
Every time you lay your face on a regular pillow, you are smushing your skin against the pillow. The creases in your face from the smushing are there for as long as you are in that position. So if you sleep on your side for 6-8 hours, those creases are there for 6-8 hours. The creases turn into wrinkles.
Just like smile lines & crows feet, sleep wrinkles are the result of repetition.
Much like repeating motions, such as smiling, can give you smile lines, repeatedly smushing your face on a pillow can give you sleep wrinkles. The Save My Face Pillow keeps you from pressing your cheek against the pillow, so it actually prevents sleep wrinkles from starting. In my case, it’s stopping them from getting worse.
The sooner you start using an anti-wrinkle pillow, the better. If only I had had one in my 20’s, or even 30’s!!! *Shakes fists at the sky* The wrinkles I could have prevented!
The pillow also keeps your night creams on your face, as they are not wiped off or absorbed away by a pillow.
As anti-wrinkle pillows go, this one is really easy to get used to. I’m actually so comfortable with it that I don’t want to sleep without it. I use the petite model, the smaller size of the pillow. You can check out all their different pillow options by visiting the Save My Face site.
Care is easy, the pillow and its cover are machine washable.
So this tale has a happy ending. The side-sleeping beauty got a Save My Face Pillow…
And they lived happily ever after.
Just stumbled on your blog, looking for foundation review and wow! How have I not known about this before? I knew sleeping on my side was wrinkle-inducing, but training myself to sleep on my back is rough and hasn’t met with a lot of success. I am buying that little face saver pillow TODAY!!! Thank you for the info. I am 41 and super grateful for a blog like yours.
P.S. I discovered Pixie glow tonic over a year ago and have been using it ever since:)))
Hi and thanks SO much for your comment! Yes, this pillow is a face-saver. I’ve used mine for so long I should probably order a new one soon! I hope you love it. I also hope you’ll subscribe to my email list so you’ll be sure to get future post sent right to you. And Pixi Glow Tonic is a staple in my vanity, too!
