Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask really surprised me. I had serious doubts that a $4.00 mask was going to do much for my skin. Had Allure magazine not recommended it, I probably wouldn’t have picked this up. I SO glad I did!
An exfoliant becomes very important in your 30’s and 40’s.
As skin ages, cell turnover slows down. This means it takes longer for old skin cells to slough off. Freeman Charcoal & Black Sugar Facial Polishing Mask helps those dead cells slough off faster, clearing the way for the newer skin cells. The result is brighter, younger looking skin.
It’s a scrub AND a mask. The directions recommend gently massaging this on your face for 1-2 minutes, letting the exfoliating sugar granules do their work. Leave it on your face for 5-7 minutes to let the charcoal absorb impurities.
Charcoal absorbs oil and debris without over-drying your skin. My face did not feel dry at all after using this. Quite the opposite.
Black sugar granules exfoliate skin cells for softness and clarity. You feel clean AND soft. It cleanses without stripping away all the moisture. No need to scrub hard. Let the black sugar do all the work for you.
I really like using this in the morning. You feel fresh, moisturized, and “polished,” as the name suggests.
Two notes of caution on this. First, it does have a strong fragrance. I don’t care for that, but the scent did not stay with me after rinsing it off. Second, I have combination skin that tends to be on the drier side. I am not sure how this would work for very oily skin.
It’s a safe bet you’ll want to keep this in your skincare routine.
