I’ll start this post by getting right to the point: Simple Beauty Minerals makes AMAZING mineral eye shadows. Just look at the gorgeousness of these colors!
I love the matte shades!
These highly pigmented shadows melt into my skin and last all day—without creasing up on my over-40 lids.
The colors are perfect for me.
- Charmer, inspired by sunflowers, really brightens my lids without that dreaded “white” look. You can even use it to accent your brow bone.
- Honesty, a warm melon shade, blends beautifully with the brown tones.
- Velvet is the brown I reach for every day.
- Port, a plum-brown, really makes my hazel eyes pop!

I have hooded eyes, so rely on matte shadows. I can handle some shimmer and sparkle on my lids, but I like to put a matte shade on the “hanging-down, hoody” part of my lids. I don’t want to accent it with lots of sparkle, making it stand out.
Tip: Matte shadows won’t accent the hooded part of eyelids.

I prefer a natural look for myself, but these shadows can give you all the drama you need.
They last, they don’t crease, and they’re gorgeous.
