Antiaging Eye Cream

I rarely review antiaging eye creams because I feel like most of them do what any average facial moisturizer would do. When it comes to the eye area, I just don’t believe in miracle creams that erase crow’s feet and dark circles.

That being said, there are a few antiaging eye creams that I consider worth the extra money and time.

These antiaging eye creams have shown noticeable improvements in my skin.

La Roche Posay Pigmentclar Eyes Dark Circle Eye Cream

This eye cream contains caffeine!  Who can’t use more caffeine?

The theory is that the anti-inflammatory properties of caffeine can help to shrink bags and reduce puffiness.

Pigmentclar has light reflecting pearl pigments in it to add light to dark circles.   It’s not tinted with color, like a concealer.  It just has light reflecting properties that brighten shadowy areas without being glittery.  It also contains Phe-Resorcinol – known for its targeted action on melanin,  Melanin can contribute to darkening of the skin, this eye cream may help lessen that effect.

It’s incredibly hydrating without being greasy, making it PERFECT to wear under your favorite concealer.  I think any concealer works best when the eye area is properly moisturized.  The metal applicator tip is cool, which helps to de-puff eyes and massage the product into the skin gently and effectively.

RoC Multi Correxion 5-in-1 Eye Cream

Truthfully, I discovered this by accident.  It came as a sample with purchase, and I used it all over my face.  Because like I said, I think most eye creams are nothing more than more expensive facial moisturizers.  I didn’t want to waste it, so I used it as a moisturizer before bed—and in the morning the improvement was noticeable.

My skin looked firmer, tighter, and smoother.  Fine lines lessened.

I thought maybe I was imagining the results so I used it on some nights and not others.  There was no mistaking, I was definitely seeing results.  Now, this is too expensive to use as face moisturizer, but I keep some on hand now for my eye area.

RoC says it’s the Hexinol technology that helps lessen fine lines and improve elasticity.  I’m not even going to pretend I understand the science behind this.  All I can say is…

The day I ran out of the sample is the day I purchased my first tube.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrating Gel Eye Cream with Hyaluronic Acid

Antiaging eye creams

When you are dehydrated, this is what you want.  Period.  It’s an intense hit of hyaluronic acid, an acid your body actually makes itself.  When your hyaluronic acid decreases, like it does as you age, it makes it harder for your skin to hold on to moisture.   And then you get that dry, wrinkled look.

Packed with hyaluronic acid, this gel plumps your skin with moisture, lessening the look of wrinkles.

It is very lightweight so it wear well under makeup for me in the summer, but in the winter I sometimes need to top it off with a heavier moisturizer.

So for now, these are the antiaging eye creams I recommend.  I plan to update this post when/if I find new ones at the drugstore.  Because even though I know there’s no miracle cream, you know I’ll never stop searching 🙂
