We all face challenges in life.  Like when you screw up your eyeliner.

When faced with such struggles, I find myself reaching  for the bottle…My bottle of Bioderma Micellar Water (available on Amazon).

What is Bioderma Micellar Water?

This is not a toner, it feels like water on your face.  That’s because it is soft water with micelles added in.

According to board-certified dermatologist Hadley King  (of Skinney MedSpa) in an article in the Huffington Post, micelles are tiny balls of cleansing oil molecules. “The idea is that micelles are attracted to dirt and oil, so they are able to draw out impurities without drying out the skin.”

You actually skip the traditional soap and water cleanse and use this water to wash your face.  Squirt a little on a cotton round and it will remove dirt, oil, and makeup.  Your skin won’t feel stripped, as with a toner.  It won’t feel oily either.  It’s really quite refreshing.

Did I stop washing my face with tap water altogether?

No, but I did discover tons of uses for these!

With so many uses, everyone should have a bottle on hand.

5 Ways I Use Micellar Water:

1 • To wash my face in the morning, so I feel refreshed but NOT dried out.  An excellent idea for aging skin.  The gentler you can be to your skin, the better.

2 •  Remove any makeup mistake without having to wash you whole face!  Eye shadow, blush, mascara smudges, whatever.  You can just remove the mistake.  Bioderma Micellar Water is a life-saver when it comes to eyeliner.  Put some on a Q-Tip to fix uneven eyeliner.  I think we can all relate to this…

3 •  When I’m exhausted but still need to remove my makeup before bed.  Bioderma Micellar Water is SO much better for my skin than makeup wipes, which I won’t use because they sting and they’re rough.

4 •  When I have no time after the gym to wash my face, I can count on micellar water to clear the sweat off quickly.

5 •  Use a cotton round to remove stubborn makeup around eyes left behind after washing your face.  Bioderma Micellar Water is so gentle, and my eye area really needs TLC.  In your 40’s, you don’t want to be scrubbing on the skin in your eye area.

Micellar water is an affordable beauty multi-tasker, and now a staple in my vanity.  This is just handy to have around!

So go ahead.  Hit the bottle.

These products were PR Samples provided to me for consideration for review.  As always, these are my honest opinions.  If a product doesn’t work well for me, I simply don’t review it.
