I’m a side-sleeper for life. I love cuddling my face into my pillow and dozing off.
And unfortunately I have the sleep wrinkles to prove it.
Beauty sleep can actually give you wrinkles. What a nightmare.
Let’s discuss what’s going on with your face while you sleep. Go look in a mirror and use your hand to smush the side of your face toward your nose. See those creases in your skin? Do that for 6-8 hours every night and those creases turn into wrinkles.
This video from JuveRest illustrates how sleep wrinkles develop.
The only way to prevent sleep wrinkles is to stop sleeping on your face. That’s easier said than done, isn’t it? What are you supposed to do? Hover above the pillow? No. Read on.
JuveRest has created the cadillac of wrinkle minimizing pillows. The hypoallergenic, polyurethane pillow has indentations or cut-outs to minimize the contact your face has with the pillow. There is a “cradle” that supports your head while lying on your back. Horseshoe shaped indentations on the left and right edges support your head in the side-sleeping position.
For side sleepers like me, the pillow’s indentations support your temple and jawline, without the rest of your face pressing against the pillow.
I’ve always dreamed of being a back-sleeper. You actually have gravity working FOR you, pulling your face toward your ears for 6-8 hours at a time! Like a natural facelift. This pillow could help “train” me to become a back-sleeper!
The pillow does take some getting used to. It’s a very firm pillow. JuveRest reports (based on an independent study) that getting comfortable with the pillow can take anywhere from five nights to two weeks. Some people reported that they were immediately comfortable with the pillow. I was not one of those people. It took some time for me to adjust, but I did get used to it.
It’s one high-impact, natural way to decrease wrinkles. There is so much to learn about this pillow and the research behind its design, visit JuveRest.com for all the detailed information. It’s a pricey pillow at $179, but in my opinion it’s an investment in the future of your face. Maybe I wouldn’t be spending so much cash on wrinkle creams now if I’d had this years ago.
If you’re young, consider this blog post a message from the future you. I wish someone had given this information to the 20-year-old me: Get a pillow designed to minimize sleep wrinkles. If you’re not-so-young, like me…
A sleep wrinkle pillow can stop adding new wrinkles or worsening existing ones.
