“Outside The Box”
To me, the unicorn on the outside of the box was saying, “You are too old for this makeup.” Inside the box was a bunch of gorgeous, glittery makeup from the Models Own Celestial Collection! My first thought: Sparkles! Everything is so pretty! I love this!!! My second thought: I’m over 40, what the hell am I going to do with all this??? 
Everything in this box was outside my over-40 “makeup comfort zone.” So I knew I had to try it all.
The Models Own Celestial Collection definitely had me thinking outside the box. While everything wasn’t a great fit for me, the Chrome Lip Toppers were amazing! So let’s talk about those beauties first. 
First, apply your favorite matte lip color, then top it with a Models Own Chrome Lip Topper for intense, dazzling iridescent shine. You can also wear them on bare lips for added sparkle. These are gorgeous and so fun to wear! The more you use, the more intense the effect, so you can create subtle shine or more of a chrome look. I do not recommend re-applying layer over layer of this, as it can start to look cakey. You can see the result in the video below. I’m wearing the lighter pink shade, which is my favorite.
The Celestial Eye Shadow Palette was fun to play with, but I must confess, the more neutral shades were my favorites. Surprisingly, I didn’t find these colors to be too intense, which was great for me.
The Face Glitter Kit is not something I would use regularly, but I did give it a try…for Halloween. I was fortune teller at my son’s school for Trunk or Treat. Such a glamorous life I lead…
Anyway, the face glitter was SUPER easy to apply and SUPER fun to wear!!!
It comes with stencils, like hearts, stars, and moons. You hold the stencil to your face, dab on some glue, dab on some glitter, then lift the stencil and viola! (I’m also wearing the Celestial shadow and lip topper.)
I wish I had more occasions to wear face glitter.
It just feels good to sparkle!
I know in this picture, the glitter looks white, but it’s the iridescent glitter in the picture above. It was very sparkly, I’m just a lousy photographer.
As it turns out, I’m not too old for rainbows and unicorns. The Models Own Celestial Collection was one of those little opportunities that maybe I should look for more often…an opportunity to step outside of my “everyday.”
To try something “outside the box,”
I needed to try something inside that unicorn box.
