This is not a sponsored post, I am not being paid to write this review. Three Ships gifted me the products for consideration for review. Opinions are my own.

I know people may not read to the end of a blog post, so I’m stating my opinion at the top:

I love Three Ships products and you should take their skincare quiz.

There is a reason for this success:  The products are effective and natural.

Started in an apartment kitchen by two women with a dream and the drive, Three Ships can now be found at Whole Foods as well as online.  Their goal was to create affordable, natural skin care with transparent ingredients lists.

To be honest, I have had mixed results with products based on natural ingredients.  I’m 53, I need powerful stuff!

Three Ships proved to be both natural AND powerful.

I was asked to try Skin Hero and Dream, both containing Bio-Retinol.  Let’s talk about what that means.

Bio-retinol, also known as plant-based retinol or natural retinol alternative, refers to compounds derived from plants that exhibit similar skincare benefits to traditional retinol. The goal is faster skin cell turnover, improved skin texture, and reduced appearance of wrinkles.

After cleansing before bed, I applied Three Ships Skin Hero Serum. Skin Hero’s key ingredient, Bakuchiol, offers a plant-based alternative to traditional retinol. Unlike retinol, Bakuchiol delivers impressive skin-enhancing results without the unwanted irritation.

Skin Hero is a game-changer for those seeking improved skin texture and tone — without irritation.

I am a sucker for packaging, and I LOVE this little detail.  There is a window on the side of the bottle so you can see when it’s time to get more…and believe me, you’ll want more.

I saw visible results without the irritation of retinol.

Unlike many Bakuchiol serums on the market, Skin Hero boasts a 2% Bakuchiol concentration. This higher percentage is carefully balanced by the inclusion of Calendula, which calms and soothes the skin. The result is maximum efficacy without the typical retinol-induced irritation, making Skin Hero an ideal choice for those with sensitive skin.

The first time I used Three Ships Dream Night Cream, I woke up in the morning an my face was SO SOFT.  I had to think to myself, “What did I use last night?”  And then I remembered!

Three Ships Dream Night Cream offers a unique blend of bio-retinol and shorea butter.  The shorea butter in Dream contains fatty acids that help improve skin’s softness and elasticity.  Combined with the bio-retinol, this product was transformative for my skin.

I love the packaging on this product, too!  The pump is easy to use, dispensing just the right amount of product.

These two products can be used together for a comprehensive skincare regimen. However, if you have sensitive skin, it’s advised to introduce the retinol serum gradually, starting once a week to gauge your skin’s response before increasing the frequency of use.

The 2-step routine of Skin Hero and Dream has really improved my fine lines and skin texture.  Dream is so hydrating without being heavy or greasy.  I had such a great result I got online and took their skincare quiz.  I ordered a bunch more from Three Ships and I can’t wait to try it all!
